Rippon Lodge is hosting “Holidays through the Ages” in Woodbridge, an exhibit that looks at the holiday seasons of years past.
Located at 15520 Blackburn Road, the property is decorated with festive depictions of the holidays from the Colonial Period through the 1940s.
The displays will run Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. through December 23, according to Rippon Lodge Site Manager Jessica Alicea.
You’ll see displays of how it would have looked for the original owners of the property, the Blackburn family, a World War I Christmas display in the hallway, and how families celebrated during the Great Depression.
Tours begin on the hour and cost $5 per person, and including a warm beverage and light refreshments. Children under six can join the tour for free.
Reservations are not required, but strongly recommended. Call 703-499-9812 for more information.
