Community members have a few opportunities to learn about handling overdoses.

REVIVE! Opioid Overdose Recognition and Response Training is being offered virtually.
According to the event flyer, the free workshops are organized by a few organizations – Prince William County Community Services, Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, the Prevention Coalition of Greater Prince William, and the Virginia Department of Health (VDH).
Signs of an opioid overdose and steps for providing Naloxone nasal spray will be covered in the opioid overdose trainings. Participants are also going to learn additional information, such as what they should and shouldn’t do during an overdose.
Those interested may sign up for one of the opioid overdose trainings, which are taking place on these dates:
- February 24, 3 p.m.
- March 5, 10 a.m.
- March 16, 7 p.m.
- March 28, 4 p.m.
Naloxone nasal spray is going to be provided to attendees who finish it, according to the event listed on the county’s event page.
