Prince William County is honoring the memory of local residents.
A 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony will be held by the Board of County Supervisors (BOCS) on September 11.
Officials are going to read the names of the 22 community members who passed away and flowers will be placed on the memorial fountain, according to a release from Prince William County.
Beginning at 9 a.m., the program will occur at the Liberty Memorial in Woodbridge.
Located between the McCoart Administration Building and the Prince William Parkway, the memorial is dedicated to the individuals who lost their lives on 9/11.
It features a flag pole that stood at the home of James T. Lynch, Jr., a Prince William County resident who died.
At the memorial is a reflecting pool and walkway that remembers those who passed away at the Pentagon.
Visitors of the memorial can find the names of the county residents on the fountain pool’s west wall.
