A Northern Virginia towing company recently helped volunteer firefighters receive vital training.
Earlier this month, Redman Fleet Services provided the Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton (OWL) Volunteer Fire Department with six vehicles and space for vehicle extrication training.
Class participants learned how to stabilize vehicles that have been involved in crashes, and help free individuals who are trapped inside them, according to a release.
John Keene from Redman’s also used machinery to place two cars on their side and two others on their roofs.
This allowed volunteers to address realistic situations they may face.
“The Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank Redman’s Fleet Services for their generous donation of time, space and materials to support this class,” a release stated.
