Members of the Prince William County Volunteer Fire Department were out completing training exercises in Woodbridge, in a lot donated by Redman Fleet Services.
Redman Fleet Services, located on Neabsco Mills Road, donates the space in their back lot, as well as cars that they have, for training exercises.
Chief Deem of the Yorkshire Volunteer Fire Department were using the lot over the weekend to help their recruits learn about extrication, and removing individuals from a crashed or overturned car safely.
Deem said that career and volunteer fire companies across the area – Dale City, Woodbridge, Manassas – all use the space that Redman provides.
“We appreciate Redman’s supporting this cause. They are a great supporter to the community and the fire department…they often allow us to use this yard for these types of exercises and drills,” said Deem.
