Recycling is being promoted across the nation.
During America Recycles Day on November 15, programs are taking place in Prince William County
Hosted by Prince William County Solid Waste and Keep Prince William Beautiful (KPWB), the events will feature activities and information about recycling, according to a release from the Prince William County Solid Waste Division.
“In mid-October we always host a large recycling education event at the Prince William County landfill in support of America Recycles Day,” Communications Specialist for the Solid Waste Division Deborah Campbell said in a release. “We also partner with KPWB and host these smaller events on November 15 to keep the importance of recycling and buying recycled products on everyone’s mind.”
Community members will also be able to sign the “I Recycle” pledge and enter for a chance to win prizes, such as a $300 REI gift card.
They may sign the pledge on the America Recycles Day website until November 20, as well.
The recycling events will be occurring at the following sites between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.:
- Bull Run Regional Library
