Some closures could impact traffic this week and next week.
A few Manassas railroad crossings will be closed on various days.
Motorists will be unable to travel on sections of three roads from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Here is more information about the days and locations of the closures, according to a release from the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT):
- March 11 and March 12: Wellington Road to Ashton Avenue on Rixlew Lane
- March 12 and March 13: Sudley Manor Drive to Burrell Lane on Bethlehem Road
- March 14 and March 18: Wellingford Drive to Randolph Ridge Lane on Balls Ford Road
Rixlew Lane drivers will be rerouted to Wellington Road, Godwin Drive and Ashton Avenue.
Those traveling on Bethlehem Road are going to be detoured along Balls Ford Road, Route 234 and Sudley Manor Drive.
Commuters on Balls Ford Road will be directed to Wellington Road, Sudley Manor Drive and Route 234.
The road closings are the result of rails being replaced by Norfolk Southern Railroad.
