Each spring, two quilt guilds — Cabin Branch Quilters and Stone House Quilters — team up to host an annual quilt show.
This year’s event was scheduled to take place in April at the Prince William County Fairgrounds.
But then COVID-19 happened, causing the event to become postponed and — later on — canceled.
The next Cabin Branch & Stone House Quilt Show is expected to occur in September 2021. However, community members don’t have to wait until then to get their hands on homemade crafts.
On September 12, Cabin Branch Quilters and Stone House Quilters are having a craft festival in the parking lot of Lake Ridge Baptist Church, 12450 Clipper Drive in Lake Ridge, according to Cabin Branch Quilters President Vania Root.
Miniature quilts and pin cushions are among the items that can be purchased at the event, which is running from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A few sewing machines may also be available.
“So, if people are looking for a sewing machine to sew masks or scrub caps, or different things like that, this might be a good place,” Root said.
Tickets for the Cabin Branch Quilters’ raffle quilt are being sold now by members of the Cabin Branch Quilters and during the Craft Festival.
The proceeds are going to support the Prince William County/Manassas Boys & Girls Clubs.
