Preliminary work has started on a Quantico road project.
A Russell Road-Route 1 study is being conducted by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
As part of the process, officials are accepting input, according to a release from VDOT.
The work include widening parts of Russell Road, adding various traffic signals, and constructing a new ramp from Route 1 North to Russell Road East.
Additional details about the project can be found in an online presentation or the VDOT website.
County residents may provide input about the Quantico road project through an online survey until October 19.

Officials plan to finish and post the final study online in late fall.
