Manassas has a new Public Works Director.
Scott Horan has been named to the position, which he started today. Supervising traffic controls, solid waste, and the upkeep of buildings and grounds are among his responsibilities.
Horan previously worked for Stafford County Public Schools, where he oversaw the division’s infrastructure and fleet services, according to a release from the City of Manassas.
He served as an Air Force Engineering Officer for more than 20 years, as well.
“Scott’s experience in building and maintaining facilities will be invaluable to the City in completing projects in our Capital Improvement Program,” City Manager Patrick Pate said in a release. “We are excited to have Scott on our management team.”
A Virginia Military Institute graduate, Horan received his bachelor’s in Civil Engineering. He earned a Master’s in Public Administration from Troy University in Alabama.
