Parents and residents who have questions or comments on the county school system’s proposed fiscal 2019 spending plan can voice them next week.
A public hearing on Prince William County Public Schools’ (PWCS) proposed budget and Capital Improvements Program (CIP) is slated for March 21 at 7 p.m.
The School Board is planning to approve the budget after the hearing, which will be held at the Kelly Leadership Center in Manassas.
PWCS Superintendent Steve Walts presented his proposed $1.2 billion budget to the board last month.
The proposal requests a nearly 4 percent increase from this year’s budget.
The board is having a special work session for a final markup of the proposal tonight at 6 p.m. at the Kelly Leadership Center.
Updates on the budget process are available online.
