The Kline development appears to be moving forward, as the Prince William County Planning Commission has issued notices for a public hearing for the project.
The hearing, set for November 15, will address several permits needed to build the 400 new homes and commercial space on the 100.45-acre site of the former Kline dairy farm, where Wellington Road and Liberia Avenue meet.

Stanley Martin Homes is the developer behind the project, but the land is still owned by the Kline family.
The development has run into a great deal of outcry from the community, and residents have circulated a petition against the project, which up to today has received more than 4,000 signatures, citing primarily concerns about overcrowded schools and congestion.
The hearing will take place at 7 p.m. at the McCoart building in Woodbridge. If the Planning Commission approves the requests made by Stanley Martin, the project will go to a Prince William Board of County Supervisors vote.
Residents are allowed to attend and participate in the public hearing.
