The Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission (PRTC), the organization that operates the area bus and rail service, wants to hear from you about your transportation needs.
According to a release, “earlier this year PRTC began work on a Strategic Plan that would help to guide and determine its planning efforts and services over the next decade.”
Commissioners from PRTC and a consulting team are running a survey to assess the wants and needs of Prince William travelers, “determining services can best assist the residents, businesses and local governments to achieve their transportation goals.”
More on the survey, from a release:
In order to develop a meaningful plan PRTC needs your input and participation. To start with, they’ve developed a short survey on the ways you travel as well as your opinions on transportation-related issues and current transportation services. Your answers to these questions will inform the early stages of the plan development and your participation in the survey will make you eligible for one of 200 Starbucks gift cards.
As residential and employment growth is expected to continue and as new, non-traditional transportation options become increasingly available PRTC feels the time is right to take a detailed look at its services, exploring a broad range of ways to keep the people of Prince William County moving: From continued commuter bus services to bike share programs.
