Citizens could save money through a campaign.
Prince William Saves Week is running until Saturday.
The Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE) Prince William is collaborating with Prince William County Employees Credit Union, Burke & Herbert and United Bank for the program, according to a release from Prince William County.
Prince William Saves is connected to America Saves, a program that encourages users to save money, allows them to set up goals, and provides them with needed resources, according to VCE Financial Education Program Manager Victoria Neeley.
“In general, writing down a goal, helps people to be more successful in achieving them,” Neeley said in a release. “If they sign up to save then there is a better chance that they will achieve that goal.”
Those who register for Prince William Saves have a chance to win $250 to $750 through America Saves’ #ImSavingForSweepstakes.
Individuals can participate in the contest by posting their goals on social media with “#ASW19”.
