Prisoner of War (POW) Paul Galanti will be speaking at the Freedom Museum next week in Manassas.
According to a release, Galanti will be speaking on September 5 at 7:30 p.m. at 10600 Harry Parrish Boulevard, talking about his experiences as a POW during the Vietnam War.

Galanti flew 97 combat missions before being captured on June, 1966. He was a prisoner of war for nearly seven years and was released on February, 1973. After retiring from the Navy, he held several civilian executive positions and, in 2010, Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell appointed CDR Galanti as the Commissioner of Veterans Services for the Commonwealth of Virginia and later to the Board of Governors to the Virginia Military Institute.
Admission to the event is free and refreshments will be served.
