Lake Ridge Elementary School has a new principal.
Sarah Harrington has been appointed the leader of the school.
The Northern California native previously served as an Assistant Principal at Belmont Elementary School in Woodbridge and Kilby Elementary School in Woodbridge.
Before working in Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS), Harrington taught English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) in Stafford County.
She has also been a kindergarten, second-grade and fourth-grade teacher.
Harrington, who grew up in San Jose, CA, attended Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego.
