There’s a new little free library in town.
The ‘Princess Club’ a club for girls at King Elementary in Dale City, gathered in front of the school at a dedication ceremony for the little library.
The club gives young girls the chance to learn about self-esteem, exercise, healthy eating, and take part in some fun and educational activities.
According to a release, the little library was part of a community service project that the Princess Club took on.
Several King Elementary teachers got involved, donating the materials and helping to build the library, according to a release.
“The mission of the Little Free Library organization is to promote literacy and the love of reading by building free book exchanges worldwide and to build a sense of community as we share skills, creativity and wisdom across generations. It is a ‘take a book, return a book’ free book exchange,” stated a release.
