Prince William teachers and administrators were honored at the Prince William County Public Schools’ Teacher and Principal of the Year Awards last week.
Held at Colgan High School in Manassas, “elected officals, School Board members, the Superintendent and his staff, and nearly 500 family, friends and staff attended to honor more than 50 educators,” stated a release.
The ceremony is held each year to honor principals and teachers for their work, as well as individuals that renewed their national board certification.

Nathaniel Provencio, principal of Minnieville Elementary, and Rebecca Kronthal, second grade teacher at King Elementary, took the overall honors. Maria Centini, English teacher at Hylton, is the High School Teacher of the Year, while Jennifer Brown, ESOL teacher at Graham Park Middle, was named Middle School Teacher of the Year.
