Prince William students won big during this year’s Theatre Festival.

Woodbridge High School students won a Best Music Award for their production of “Return to the Forbidden Planet.” Senior Fatima Dyfan earned an All Star Cast Award. Senior Christian Ellis won first place in the “On the Spot Play Writing Competition.”
The Patriot High School Players performed their One Act play, “Disney’s High School Musical,” and junior Carleigh Hopkins won a Best Actor award. The show featured complicated harmonies, multiple full-ensemble dance numbers, and the challenge of fitting/re-staging a cast of 23 on stage.
Gainesville Middle School received a Silver medal, and Reagan and Woodbridge Middle Schools received Bronze medals. Gainesville was ranked among the top three middle school winners in the festival. Two Reagan seventh-graders received All Star awards. John T. “Jack” Kelley won for his portrayal of the mad scientist in “Dr. Avarice Sly” and Tyler Rochelle as the “Robot” in Reagan’s comedy play.
Woodbridge Middle School student Max Gagnon won a Best Actor award.
