The Prince William County Service Authority has been recognized with a platinum award for their performance.
The Service Authority is the county’s water utility company, handling water and wastewater service for area residents.
According to a release, the National Association of Clean Water Agencies awarded the Service Authority’s H.L. Mooney Advanced Water Reclamation Facility in Woodbridge with their third ‘Platinum Peak Performance Award’.
The plant received the award initially in 2014, after the plant met 100% regulatory compliance for five years in a row, according to a release.
“I am extremely proud of the work our staff has done to achieve regulatory compliance for the last seven years. Their dedication and commitment to excellence is helping to improve the quality of our environment, including the Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay. I would like to congratulate them on a job well done,” stated Service Authority General Manager Dean Dickey in a release.
