Following the May 17 Prince William County School Board meeting, Boundary Plan 5 was approved for Lake Ridge and Woodbridge Middle Schools.
According to a release, the new boundaries will be effective for the 2018-2019 school year.
“Rising eighth-grade students will be allowed to remain at their currently assigned schools if they provide their own transportation,” stated a release.
We wrote previously about the boundary approval process, and the public meetings held on the proposed boundaries in previous months.
The new boundaries were drawn in anticipation of a 13-classroom addition being done at Lake Ridge Middle School, and to prevent overcrowding, according to a release.
