The Prince William Salvation Army needs volunteers for bell ringing and Angel Tree for the holiday season.
The Salvation Army does bell ringing during the holidays to raise funds for their programs and people in need, and they for Angel Tree – which is a way to collect holiday presents for children in need – they place the trees with gift tags with the needed items at Potomac Mills and Manassas Mall.
Bell ringers are needed at several stores in Prince William County, Manassas, and Manassas Park, and the hours are flexible.
Angel Tree monitors are needed at Potomac Mills Mall and the Manassas Mall through December 11, Mondays through Saturdays at 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Around 1,000 children are participating in Angel Tree this year, and according to Major Robin Hackbarth, more than 200 “angels” have still not been adopted.
