The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is hosting their 12th annual Transportation Career Fair on October 6.
According to VDOT, 1,400 high school students will be able to attend the event and network with more than 100 “engineering firms, organizations, agencies and contractors from across Virginia and learn about careers in transportation-related fields, such as civil engineering, architecture, technology, construction and environmental engineering,” stated a release.
The career fair is being held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Prince William County Fairgrounds at 10624 Dumfries Road in Manassas, according to a release.
“There will be numerous hands-on opportunities for students, including trying equipment, learning how to build a bridge and a demonstration on how concrete is made. There will also be giveaways, scholarship opportunities, and contests with prizes awarded to students and their schools,” stated a release.
