According to a release, the 40th session of the Prince William County Criminal Justice Academy graduated last week at the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas.
“The 36 men and women completed a 24-week course of training in all aspects of police work, including classes in firearms, use-of-force decision making, driver training, legal training, patrol techniques, criminal investigation and crash investigation,” stated a release.
Josué O. Acevedo-Ortiz is a graduate of Inter American University of Puerto Rico-Bayamon with a bachelor’s degree in aviation science management and a minor in air traffic control. He has family in law enforcement. He is fluent in Spanish. He worked in the airline industry prior to joining the Department. Officer Acevedo-Ortiz is assigned to work patrol in eastern Prince William County.
Richard D. Alicea is a graduate of American Military University in Charleston, W.V., with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He is fluent in Spanish. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps prior to joining the Department. Officer Alicea is assigned to work patrol in central Prince William County.
Bradley A. Anglin is a graduate of Woodbridge Senior High School in Woodbridge, Va. He worked as a land surveyor prior to joining the Department. Officer Anglin is assigned to work patrol in central Prince William County.
Mitchell K. Ardinger is a graduate of Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Va., with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. He worked in private security prior to joining the Department. Officer Ardinger is assigned to work patrol in eastern Prince William County.
Richard C. Becker, Jr., is a graduate of Frewsburg Central High School in New York. He worked as a computer technician prior to joining the Department. Officer Becker is assigned to work patrol in western Prince William County.
Justin P. Blakely is a graduate of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He served in the U.S. Navy prior to joining the Department. Officer Blakely is assigned to work patrol in western Prince William County.
Joseph C. B. Camp is a graduate of St. John’s College High School in Washington, D.C. He worked in private security prior to joining the Department. Officer Camp is assigned to work patrol in western Prince William County.
David Chung is a graduate of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., with a bachelor’s degree in crime and criminology. He is fluent in Korean. Taylor Logan-Vincent Craddock is a graduate of River Springs High School in Temecula, Calif. He served in the U.S. Army prior to joining the Department. Officer Craddock is assigned to work patrol in eastern Prince William County.
Aaron E. Dillon is a graduate of West Virginia University in Morgantown, with a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and sociology. He served in the U.S. Army prior to joining the Department. Officer Dillon is assigned to work patrol in western Prince William County.
William Van Horn Clarence Dressel is a graduate of Poudre High School in Fort Collins, Colo. He served in the U.S. Army prior to joining the Department. Jonathan R. Eldredge is a graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., with a master’s degree in business administration.
