Do you know a student looking for scholarship opportunities?
The Prince William Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for their scholarship program through February 20.
Students will be selected and awarded based on academic success and community involvement, according to a release.
Three $2,500 scholarships will be awarded to the students selected. Check out last year’s winners here.
Submissions must be submitted by 5 p.m. on February 20, and finalists will be asked to participate in an interview by March 29. The winners will be notified on March 30 and will be awarded at the Chamber’s Education and Innovation Breakfast on April 27, according to a release.
Eligibility requirements, from a release:
In order to be eligible for the Chamber scholarship program, one must:
Be a graduating high school senior with plans to enroll in an accredited community college, trade school, college or university;
Be a current Chamber member company employee or the dependent of an employee; this includes staff of all Prince William County, Cities of Manassas and Manassas Park public schools and corresponding governments. Students can find out if their own or their parents’ place of employment is a Chamber member company by searching PWBizFinder.org. All listed companies are members of the Prince William Chamber of Commerce;
Hold a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher;
Complete the application package;
Demonstrate leadership and commitment to the community.
