The Prince William County Boys & Girls Club held their ‘10K in an Hour and a Half’ fundraiser to help raise much needed funds for the clubs’ programs.
The fundraiser was held at the Hilton Garden Inn at 2500 Neabsco Common Place with the goal of bringing in 100 people, each with $100 and 100 business cards, to raise $10,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs.
The Kiwanis Club of Woodbridge generously donated $500 to cover the cost of food for the event, and an additional $1,000 donation.
In total, the fundraiser brought in $3,300.
“While we fell short of the goal, everybody enjoyed themselves at the event. Not only were we helping a good cause, but we were also able to meet some fresh faces from the community,” said Boys & Girls Club Board Member ST Billingsley.
