The Prince William County Aquatics Center is now open.
The $11 million facility, located on-site at Colgan High School at 13833 Dumfries Road in Manassas, officially opened on September 10, according to a release.
According to a release, more than 400 families came out to the opening of the center, and free admission was offered all day. There were also scuba diving and simming lesson demonstrations, underwater robotics demonstrations, a relay race, and synchronized swimming during the grand opening, according to a release.
The facility includes an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a children’s pool, a waterslide, and several other fun features, stated a release.
“We will be offering lots of opportunities to make students from across the county safe and comfortable in the water, and to start them on a path to a lifetime of swimming and safe water fun,” stated Prince William County Aquatics Center Manager Allen Dunn in a release.
