Several county and area organizations received grant funding from the Potomac Health Foundation to help improve community health.
According to a release, 25 programs received money from the Howard L. Greenhouse Large Grant program.
The foundation awarded a total of $2,687,748 in grants, ranging from $19,323 to $257,000, according to a release.
“The Howard L. Greenhouse Large Grant Program addresses the Foundation’s mission to improve the health of the community by awarding grants to programs that strengthen access to primary health care for medically underserved residents, reduce the impact of preventable illness and disease, and support innovation around emerging health needs,” stated a release.
Grants are given annually, and programs can receive grant funding for up to three years, according to a release.
