A local fundraiser is gaining support from two hardware stores.
Pitkin’s Dale City Ace Hardware and Woodbine Ace Hardware are sponsoring Movies at the Pfitz, according to a release.
Hosted by Lake Ridge Rotary Club, Woodbridge Rotary Club, and the Prince William County Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism, the drive-in movie events are occurring at the Pfitzner Stadium parking lot, 7 County Complex Court in Woodbridge.
The proceeds are benefiting the Lake Ridge Rotary Club and Woodbridge Rotary Club, which will use the funds to support Prince William County non-profits.
“These events are great and safe ways to get the community out while supporting the Woodbridge and Lake Ridge rotary clubs,” said Amy Pitkin-Monroe co-owner of Pitkin’s Dale City Ace Hardware and Woodbine Ace Hardware.
Pitkin’s Dale City Ace Hardware is located at 4340 Dale Boulevard in Dale City, and Woodbine Ace Hardware stands at 13418 Dumfries Road in Manassas.
They offer a wide range of products and various brands, including Benjamin Moore, Jonathan Green and Yeti.
“Sponsors like Pitkin’s Ace Hardware allow us to make the outsized impact we do,” Lake Ridge Rotary Club President Ben Hazekamp wrote in an email to What’s Up Prince William. This locally owned company has been a fantastic partner and true contributor to make Movies at the Pfitz a success.”
The first Movies at the Pfitz event took place on Saturday with a showing of Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Here are the upcoming showings:
- August 1: Grease
- August 15: Field of Dreams
