One Woodbridge man has collected $150,000 after using a Virginia Lottery subscription.
Paul Burns from Woodbridge purchased a ticket, which matched with four of the first five winning numbers in the March 14 drawing.
The winning numbers were 6-12-24-41-68.
His Powerball number, which was 9, also won.
Because the engineer spent an addition dollar for the Power Play, his $50,000 winnings were tripled.
“I was excited!” said Burns, who learned about his prize when he logged into his account after midnight.
There is a 1 in 292.2 million chance of matching all six ticket numbers. The possibility of winning a Powerball are 1 in 25.
Virginia Lottery subscriptions are offered to Virginia residents for Mega Millions and Powerball.
“It’s just convenient,” Burns said. “It makes it easier for me to play.”
