More parking is now available for commuters and those frequenting local attractions.
Officials have constructed the Neabsco Regional Park Parking Lot, according to a release from Prince William County.
Rippon Landing Neighborhood Park and Neabsco Creek Boardwalk visitors as well as travelers can use the lot, which offers about 100 spaces. It sits at 15125 Blackburn Road in Woodbridge.
The Neabsco Creek Boardwalk, which connects Rippon Landing Community Park and Julie A. Metz Wetlands Preserve, opened in June.
An old, overgrown lot has also been taken out, according to Prince William County Department of Transportation Traffic and Safety Manager.
“The old gravel parking area that was there at Rippon and Blackburn was all reforested,” Stevens said in a release. “We put all sorts of trees and local indigenous plantings in that area.”
