Artists from the area came together last weekend to take part in the 10th annual Paint! Manassas event.
According to artists and event coordinator Michele Frantz, artists were in the City of Manassas painting throughout the month of September, with a culminating event on September 10.
At the end of the event, first place was awarded to Frantz for her piece depicting the corner of Church and Battle Street. Second place was awarded to Mike Flynn for his depiction of the Old Post Office. Third place was given to Vincent Quaranta for his depiction of the city’s train station.
Artists will have time to complete additional artwork of the city. The public will then be able to vote on their favorite pieces during the city’s Gallery Walk on November 4, according to Frantz.
