There will be more overnight delays this week on I-95, as Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews continue work in Spotsylvania.
According to a release, crews will be continuing their work on fixing up both bridges over the Ni River.
“Motorists should anticipate double lane closures and overnight travel delays this week on I-95 at mile marker 121, north of Exit 118 (Thornburg),” stated VDOT.

I-95 Northbound and Southbound:
Monday, Aug. 21 ˗˗ Friday, Aug. 25 (ending at 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26)
- Single lane closure at 9 p.m. at mile marker 121 (Ni River bridge) north of Exit 118 (Route 606/Thornburg)
- Double lane closure at 10 p.m.
- All lanes open by 4:30 a.m.
Virginia State Police will assist with traffic control near the work zone.
