Cadets from the Navy JROTC program at Osbourn Park High School competed in the “Navy Nationals” national competition.
According to a release, the cadets competed against some of the best NJROTC units in the world, and are the first unit from Northern Virginia to advance to national competition.
This year’s national competition was held at Pensacola Naval Air Station in Florida on April 7 and 8.
“Only the top 25 units of the 575 units nationwide qualify to compete in the national competition each year. The Osbourn Park unit is led by LCDR Commander James Ogawa (RET) and Chief Darrick Williams,” stated a release.
