Osbourn Park High School in Manassas is getting a new principal.
Beginning July 1, Lisamarie Kane will be leading the school, according to a release from Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS).
“I am both honored and humbled to join this outstanding team to continue the tradition of excellence,” she said in a release. “You can expect that I will work diligently to support our teachers to ensure our students continue to receive an outstanding education in whatever format the future holds for us.”
Kane is replacing Neil Beech, who was chosen to be principal of the county’s 13th high school. The new high school is expected to open in Gainesville in fall 2021.
Serving as assistant principal for Gar-Field High School in Dale City for five years is one position Kane has held in her more than 20 years of educational experience.
She has been a science teacher at Forest Park High School in Woodbridge and Potomac High School in Dumfries, as well.
