Operation Peanut Butter & Jelly (OPB&J) is hosting a fundraiser in Woodbridge on November 18, to support their mission of helping the homeless.
According to a release, OPB&J is a non-profit that was started by a group of dockmates at the Prince William Marina, with the mission of providing assistance to the several homeless individuals in Prince William County.
“We provide PB&J sandwiches, treats, crackers and water to the homeless in downtown Washington, D.C. We also provide toiletry items such as shampoo, bath soap, toothbrush, toothpaste and other grooming items. During the winter months, we provide coats, hats, socks, and gloves,” stated a release.
The fundraiser is being held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Prince William Marina at 12849 Gordon Boulevard. Tickers are $45 per person, which comes with an Italian dinner and a cocktail.
