One of Occoquan’s heavily traveled roads is being rid of litter.
The 3rd annual Old Bridge Road Columbus Day Cleanup has been scheduled for next month.
Organized by Supervisor Ruth Anderson’s Office, the program will begin at 9 a.m. on October 14.
A Thank You Lunch will be held at 11 a.m.
Community members are advised to wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
Keep Prince William Beautiful (KPWB), a Dale City non-profit, will provide supplies for the cleanup.
Students who participate in the event can earn community service hours. Adult supervision is required for those who are under 16 years old.
Attendees will sign in at a station set up on the lake side of the Tackett’s Mill Shopping Center in Lake Ridge.
