Okra’s Cajun Creole is hosting their first annual Comfort Food Challenge on September 18.
According to the Okra’s website, the event will be taking place from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the Manassas Museum Lawn at 9101 Prince William Street in Manassas.
The event will include chili, gumbo, BBQ, live music, wine, and beer, according to their website.
The beer and wine garden will include four Louisiana beers on tap, and there will be a live musical performance from One Hot Mess, according to their website.
Individuals can take part in the food challenge by registering online, and awards will be given for Best Gumbo, Best Chili, Best BBQ and the Best Dressed Tent.
The event is being held in partnership with Leadership Prince William, an organization run by the Prince William Chamber of Commerce, which provides leadership and development opportunities for area residents.
