Starting today, the Occoquan Town Hall is undergoing some renovations.
According to Occoquan Town Manager Kirstyn Jovanovich, the Town Hall will be closed on August 11 and 12, and will have a reduced in-office schedule from August 15 to September 2.
Jovanovich stated that the focus for the renovations will be improving the office layout, installing security equipment, installing new sound equipment, replacing the existing carpeting, reconfiguring the Hall’s dais, and painting the interior of the building. The exterior of the building will be painted at some point in the near future as well, stated Jovanovich.
“We’ll be taking the next three weeks to begin our document management project where we will start organizing and moving all of our files into an electronic format and working toward a paperless environment. This process will take several years to complete,” stated Jovanovich.
The renovations are expected to cost around $33,000, stated Jovanovich.
