UPDATE: The Town of Occoquan has canceled the Occoquan RiverFest & Craft Show.
Two annual Occoquan events are becoming one.
RiverFest, which was scheduled for June, is being combined with the Fall Arts & Crafts Show.
Named the Occoquan RiverFest & Craft Show, the event is scheduled for September 26 and September 27, according to a release from the Town of Occoquan.
“There is no better way to showcase the might and savvy of Occoquan than to create a new event that brings together our small-town pride, our businesses, and our river-loving values into one spectacular weekend festival full of fresh air and family fun,” Events and Community Development Director Julie Little said in a release.
Its features will include a beer garden, river cruises, paddleboard and kayak slalom races, and two food courts.
An Artisan’s Walk made up of art and craft vendors is going to be offered, as well.
Occoquan is going to watch information shared by officials and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) throughout the summer.
Community members can learn additional information about the Occoquan RiverFest & Craft Show by visiting the Town of Occoquan website or reaching out to Little at (703) 491-2168 or jlittle@occoquanva.gov.
