County residents have a couple of opportunities to help clean up the community.
Occoquan River cleanups have been scheduled.
The Prince William Trails and Streams Coalition (PWTSC) and its partners are hosting the 11th annual Occoquan River Cleanup from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Volunteers will pick up litter between Cider Run to the Occoquan River and Hooes Run.
Wearing face masks and practicing social distancing are encouraged.
Those in need of supplies and trash haul should reach out to PWTSC.
Participants can share data and pictures by emailing waterquality@pwswcd.org.

Friends of the Occoquan (FOTO) are holding a Friends of the Occoquan Fall River Clean Up.
On October 10, community members may help clean the Lake Ridge Marina, 12350 Cotton Mill Drive in Lake Ridge between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. or the Town of Occoquan, 314 Mill Street, from 9 a.m. to Noon.
Volunteer opportunities are also being offered at Occoquan Regional Park, 9751 Ox Road in Lorton and Fountainhead Regional Park, 10875 Hampton Road in Fairfax Station between 9 a.m. and Noon on October 17.
Community members are reminded to wear sturdy shoes and face masks.
