Help clean up the Occoquan River.
On April 9, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Prince William Trails and Streams Coalition (PWTSC) will be hosting their seventh annual Occoquan River cleanup, according to a release.
Last year 197 volunteers were able to remove 6,700 pounds of trash out of the river, according to a release.
The cleanup will take place at nine different sites along a 25 mile stretch of the Occoquan River, including Cedar Run, Broad Run, and through Lake Jackson, stated a release.
PWTSC has partnered with several local organizations including the Prince William Soil and Water Conservation District, Prince William County Parks and Recreation and Prince William County Public Works, according to a release.
