The pedestrian footbridge in Occoquan is now open.
Located at the west end of Occoquan, crossing the Occoquan River, the footbridge is now open for pedestrians to use, according to a release.
The footbridge was closed last fall to make repairs and improvements on the bridge, in congruence with the development of River Mill Park, according to a release.
“Bridge users will notice new hand railing and will soon see the addition of several lights along the span of the bridge in the coming months,” stated a release.
River Mill Park is still under construction, but is expected to open sometime in July, according to a release.
