Ghosts and a variety of creatures are settling into Occoquan.
On October 26, Spirits & Spirits will take place in downtown.
Between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m., community members will be able to participate in an assortment of activities.
Children may enjoy decorating pumpkins, creating paper masks, and attending a free magic show, according to a release from the Town of Occoquan.
Hosted by the Town of Occoquan, the program is also featuring a costume parade that starts at 2 p.m. at the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) parking lot, 121 Poplar Lane.
Judges will choose the winners of several categories — Cutest, Scariest, Funniest, Most Original, and Family/Group. They will receive $25 gift certificates.
A Haunted Maze can also be found at 305 Mill Street from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Many “scare” zones are being set up in the 35- by- 40-foot space.
Tickets, which cost $10, are available on eventbrite.
Parking is offered throughout the town. A free shuttle will transport event attendees from the Route 123 Commuter Lot between 1 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Patriots for Disabled Divers, a non-profit, is a sponsor of Spirits & Spirits.
