Looking for a way to give back for the Thanksgiving holiday?
NOVEC’s charitable arm NOVEC HELPS is collecting non-perishable food items for low-income individuals for Thanksgiving.
According to a release, NOVEC HELPS is collecting the items through November 15 and will be delivering the food to Northern Virginia Family Service’s (NVFS) SERVE shelter.
“SERVE will distribute the food to qualified residents in Prince William County as part of Operation Turkey,” stated a release.

“Suggested food items for Operation Turkey include bread and muffin mixes, instant mashed potatoes, pasta, rice, boxed desserts, sugar, flour, evaporated milk, prepared pie crusts, and canned meats, vegetables, cranberry sauce, fruit, pie filling, and gravy,” stated a release.
