Need to take your ASE certification tests for automotive? Now you can at Northern Virginia Community College’s Manassas Campus.
“ASE is short for the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence. Since 1972, this independent nonprofit organization has worked to improve the quality of vehicle repair and service by testing and certifying automotive professionals. ASE certification testing means peace of mind for auto service managers and customers,” stated a release.
According to Campus Provost Molly Lynch, individuals will be able to take their computerized ASE certification tests on-site, starting next week.
“We are going to start ASE certification testing on our campus next week – our automotive faculty members have been working on this for a long time and we’re really pleased to be able to offer this service to the community,” said Lynch.
This new testing site will be able to accommodate around 10,000 technicians that live in the area.
“It’s been a work in progress for about three years…we were in a situation where the closest testing center was Falls Church, and you had to battle the traffic to get down there, or Richmond, or Charlottesville, or Front Royal,” said Assistant Professor Myles Embrey.
ASE testing will be offered at the campus year-round. To register, click here.
