Impacto Youth, a Manassas non-profit that assists disadvantaged youth, is hosting their first fundraiser event.
According to organization spokeswoman Caroline Shaaber, Impacto Youth is all about providing opportunities to youth in need in the area.
“Our mission is to really empower and give opportunities to socially and economically disadvantaged youth in the Greater Prince William area,” said Shaaber.
Shaaber said that the organization provides education, enrichment, and workforce development opportunities to the students they work with.
“We’re doing a workforce development slash leadership course at Centerfuse in Manassas…that will be for Osbourn High School. And we’re also partnering with, for instance, the new Governor’s Academy over in the Manassas school system too. We will bring in leaders and do some workforce development classes,” said Shaaber.
Impacto Youth has also partnered with Prince William County Schools and are developing a leadership program for Woodbridge Senior High School, said Shaaber.
The fundraiser will be a Western Casino Night on September 22 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 9073 Center Street in Manassas.
Tickets are $45 per person and food will be provided by Bad Wolf Public House.
“Dust off your boots and cowboy hat and c’mon and join us for a great cause,” said Shaaber.
