Local non-profits are looking for volunteers, and many citizens want to lend a hand in their community.
Some upcoming events are helping connect the two groups.
A non-profit fair is occurring at Potomac Community Library in Woodbridge on February 2 and at Central Community Library in Manassas on February 23.
The events, which are being hosted by the Prince William Public Library System (PWPLS), will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“The Prince William Public Library System is committed to offering services, support, and opportunities to enhance our community to all our patrons, including non-profits and those who can benefit from partnering with non-profits,” PWPLS Communication Services Division Chief Rachel Johnson wrote in an email.
In case of snow, the non-profit fair slated for February 2 will be postponed to March 16, and the February 23 fair will be pushed back to March 9.
