If you’ve ever had the itch to step out of your comfort zone and help others, then this may be your chance. A group is seeking to assist those hoping to start a non-profit.
The Not-for-Profit Council, run by the Prince William Chamber of Commerce, is hosting their ‘Koi Pond’ event on April 21, according to a release.
According to a release, the Koi Pond is a non-profit version of the Shark Tank, a popular television show where entrepreneurs pitch their idea in the hopes that they’ll get funding to get their business off the ground.
The Koi Pond is a way for people interested in non-profit work to get help with the incorporation process, ideas from like-minded individuals, and support.
The presentations will be held from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Chamber’s Headquarters at 9720 Capital Court, Suite 203 in Manassas.
There is space for two additional presenters, and individuals need to respond by April 15, according to a release.
