The county school system has a new Chief Operating Officer.
Vernon J. Bock was chosen for the position and starts August 1, according to a release from Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS).
Bock will be overseeing PWCS grounds and buildings as well as transportation. This responsibility includes more than 90 cafeterias and over 100 schools, support spaces and centers
The new Chief Operating Officer, who brings more than 25 years of experience, was recently the associate superintendent for administration at Frederick County Public Schools in Winchester.
He received his bachelors in math from Shenandoah University in Winchester, and earned master’s degrees in educational administration and educational technology.
